Prometheus: is it ready for Network Monitoring?

Many common network monitoring tools suffer from the performance limitations of their on-disk storage format, and do not scale well to large networks. Prometheus is a highly efficient time series storage engine, but not specifically designed for network management. This talk outlines the architecture of Prometheus, its benefits, and some of its limitations if you decide to deploy it for network monitoring.
