NGNOG 2025
Towards Stronger, Smarter, and More Secure Nigerian Networks
Ready to Level Up Nigeria’s Internet Infrastructure?
Join us in Abuja this October! The Nigerian Network Operators Group (ngNOG) invites you to our 2025 event, featuring a 4-day intensive Internet Routing & BGP Workshop in collaboration with the Network Start-Up Resource Centre (NSRC).
Join industry veterans and global experts for a hands-on, five-day immersive workshop on Internet Routing and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). This workshop is designed to equip network engineers, policymakers, and ICT leaders with the practical skills and strategic understanding needed to build and operate better, more resilient, and secure data networks across Nigeria.
As part of this workshop, a RouteViews collector will be deployed at both IXPN in Lagos and the Nigeria ICT Forum in Abuja, providing live, national visibility into Internet routing behaviour and fostering local capacity for monitoring, research, and security analysis.
Who Should Attend?
Academia, NGOs, Government Agencies, and ICT Policy Advocates
Strengthen your institutional knowledge and contribute to a more secure and open Internet in Nigeria. Learn how routing data and open measurement platforms can support network transparency, security, research, and policy advocacy.
Private & Commercial Network Operators
From ISPs to data centres and enterprise IT teams, gain practical skills to optimise routing performance, avoid hijacks, and troubleshoot real-time routing issues using BGP best practices and RouteViews data.
What You Will Learn:
- Fundamentals of Internet Routing and Autonomous Systems
- Configuring BGP: Peering, Filtering, and Path Selection
- Routing Security: RPKI, IRR, and MANRS
- RouteViews: How to collect, analyse, and act on live routing data
- Real-world Labs: Simulated BGP scenarios and troubleshooting
Why This Workshop Matters:
As Nigeria’s Internet ecosystem grows, interconnection and routing stability are more critical than ever. This training is part of a broader push to increase local technical capacity, enhance network visibility, and ensure our infrastructure can withstand modern threats while supporting innovation and openness.
